MOTORHEAD RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This statement probably reeks of redundancy cuz everyone knows Lemmy is the shit!
But recently I've been rocking out to "Sacrifice" and the Motorhead rarities (you haven't LIVED until you've heard Motorhead do "Louie, Louie").
Anyhow, Lemmy and the boys are on tour and I GOTTA GET A ST. LOUIS DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're doing TWO shows in Chicago, and shows in Omaha and Minneapolis.
I've only seen them once at Ozzfest and I am psyched for a Motorhead headlining show!
I've been watching so much British horror recently I'm gonna have Peter Cushing and Chrstopher Lee in my dreams...!
Just watched CONQUEROR WORM- Which was awesome! Amazing! Spectacular! And messed UP!
BLOOD BEAST TERROR- Cheesy, slow moving and just not too interesting! Cushing was great in it and the first 20 minutes were cool but otherwise it was a yawner.
AT THE EARTH'S CORE - Campy. Cool, cheesy monsters but overall it was dull.
And this weekend I've got CREEPING FLESH and THE SKULL.
I've been hella digging on the Amicus and Tigon stuff.
But studios aside if it's got Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing or, MY BOY, Vicent Price then I am set!
And I've added the Tigon, Peter Walker and Norman Warren box sets to my Wish List at Amazon.co.UK
I'm such a dork!
But I loves me the British horror!
Hammer is still the best, though!
Can't beat Terence Fisher (when are they gonna do CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF on DVD!?).
Burroughs' MY EDUCATION is great!
Just a collection of dreams.
So, because I emulate and LOVE Burroughs to an unhealthy degree, I've started writing down my own dreams.
And now I keep my mini tape recorded by my bed so when I have those roll-over-and-are-half-awake moments I can record whatever dreams I remember on the spot.
It gives me great opportunities to write a little each day, have that writing be noncommital and still make it personal and intense!
And so tonight I hit some Central West End bars with my boy John Stricker (haven't even had time to feel out my neighborhood since I moved in!).
Tomorrow it's sushi with my boy Parker.
And then Sunday I spend all day editing, making a new spoken word CD and then write the first chapter in my third novel.
Think I'll go see CURSED at some point.
Wes Craven fuckin' SOLD OUT and it's written by that bitch Kevin Williamson (responsible for the ass known as SCREAM) but, damn, it's got Christina Ricci in it and she's dreamy!
They showed the werewolf, from CURSED, on the cover of Fango and it looks like a Halloween mask you could buy at a costume shop!
Hopefully the AMITTYVILLE HORROR remake and DEVIL'S REJECTS will save this year as far as movies go...
