This weekend has been a complete disaster. Last Thursday, my aunt Deb agreed to a biopsy on the cancer in her lungs. The doctor assured her that there were minimal risks of bleeding or cardiac arrest. 2% is what he said. She had both. In trying to stop the bleeding, she went into cardiac arrest where they spent 15 minutes trying to revive her. They did, however she spent 15 minutes with no oxygen to the brain and came out with mini seizures every few minutes. It was heartbreaking to see her like that.
On Saturday morning, the doctor and her wife elected to take her off life support. My meanwhile, I was organizing a wake buffet for the family of some of our staff who dies last Saturday in a motorcycle accident.
Deb was such an amazing woman. I never heard a cross word from her, never saw a frown, never did I not see a beautiful smile across her face. Her heart was bigger that life. She will be horribly missed by the entire world. Today seems a little bit greyer, a bit colder. Her light faded far to soon.
Rest in peace Deb
