Another birthday down and I don't feel any different about it. I tried to work OT for my birthday but was convinced by my Aunts that if I don't have to go in, then I shouldn't. I received a nice call from my father, but not my mother or sister, spent the day lounging around with my dog. It was a beautiful Saturday here in Indiana.
I was finally given a script for glasses from my eye doctor who is happy that my cataract surgery went well. I am stunned by how much better I can see since the surgery, and with my new script I can see even more clearly. I can almost see time bend. The week of my surgery, I played hockey. It seemed like every puck that was chipped up was aimed for my left eye. Kind of funny actually.
My diabetes is still an enigma to my doctor. She said that with how high y sugars continue to be, that all my blood work comes back good. No kidney damage, testosterone looks good, cholesterol looks good, organs, blood pressure... if my sugars were not so high, then she would never be able to tell I was diabetic. Even the endo is stumped. I have been given numerous blood work, a CAT scan, an EKG (?) and MRI a sonogram of my heart, a stress test (that was no joke. ) I had to run on a tread mill to hit my target heart range for 17 minutes. The tech said that I would hit my target range within 4 minutes. Afterward, he said that he has seen pro athletes hit their target ranger quicker than I did. Its not easy being a mutant. The doctor still cant figure out why I have had a cough for over two years now, but it is beyond getting on my nerves.
Work has been ok. We still continue to set the benchmark fo9r our North American FC's. Peak was crazy. We shipped over 1 million items twice in a 24 hour period shipping over 5.5 million in a single week from our site. Huge accomplishments despite the problems all shippers were having this past holiday season. I am still proud to work for Amazon and get prouder every day.
