An oldie but goodie, dedicated....
It's like a reminder to me. I wrote it a while ago, and I was looking through old poems and saw it and it so perfectly described the her and now, I had to revive it. for old times' sake, and in honor of new times...
Sometimes,
You dont know what youre missing
Until you find,
What youve been searching
For. And never knew you
Needed
You, never heard them say this day would come,
Laughed at the tales of others
Telling how they succumbed.
I thought I could,
But then I cant, be my own person forever
Whats the point of building a life,
If you have no one for whom you labor
But yourself,
Just a half searching for someone better.
You may never find,
If you search with closed eyes,
Or a closed mind, or a heart worn
Thin by the demons within.
But then, you cant search
Until you know youve lost
Something.
Or you realize you never had
Anything.
Then I met, no I read,
You.
And a void was filled,
And a door was opened
Places that before were chilled,
Now are warm, softer, and waiting.
I have seen what I have not
And now know what I would have
You If only you would have
I what more could I ever ask?
But a chance to tell . . .
That sometimes
You dont know what youre missing
Until you find, know you were blind
And find in her, your piece of mind
Cheers!!!
