i'm quite delighted by the new vh1 show can't get a date. the premiere was friday night at midnight. it is just a show about regular people looking for a date. the first episode was with this obnoxious but kinda cute guy looking for a lady. they found out he was blunt, rude, and abrasive, so they talked to him bout it. i luv it when they talk to them. they have a really hot guy voice dubbed over (i guess saying the exact same words as the person recording).
they talked to his mother, which was hilarious. she is so sweet, but could never hear what the camera guy said (so the son had to repeat everything).
they got him a new haircut and clothes and glasses (on par for any dating show) and had him practice with the female tailor and optometrist. they got him to be less of an ass and realize girls like that. and then he got hooked up by a friend with this cute asian girl. they hit it off and by the end of the show they were dating.
as the show progressed and the guy was less of an ass, the cuter he got. and along the way they give dating tips that correspond with the guy as an example.
basically this was the first dating show i watched where i wasn't bored to tears because they were so brutally honest. and i guess i felt like sharing. that, and i'm drunk off of one beer and an empty stomach after work.
