so i'm sitting on my bed, drinking MGD, after a long night shift at Uno's and i have a lot to tell all you wonderful folks. hence, i will now continue my update in bullet form. feel free to skip a bullet if you find it to seem boring on first starting to read it.
- yesterday i bought four new CDs and i am quite the pleased. i picked up (be kind when you judge me cause my musical taste is quite the eclectic) mariah carey - emancipation of mimi, postal service - give up, fiona apple - extraordinary machine, and fall out boy - from under the cork tree. i am currently in love with the fall out boy CD. i was informed, however, by a coworker at Uno's that fall out boy is awful and the members are all fags, so take it as you will.
- i have a sort tradition/ritual that when i get a new CD, i open it in my car and listen to it all the way thru in my car. i also take the album sticker and put it on my dash. should you ever have the pleasure of riding in my car, you will view my artwork.
- oh, and i also bought the first season of hbo's queer as folk. it was marked down (after FIVE YEARS) to $40 from $100.
- so i went out with cairo last night as well. she was late, as i suspected she would be, and i spent about an hour in my car listening to my new CDs. upon her arrival, we ventured over to a small house party in falls church, which was pretty fun. morgan was lovely enough to tell us about it and tho we were late, we still had an awesome time. we ate pizza, met new people, and watched wes craven's last house on the left, which was suppose to be scarey, but we found it more amusing. oh, the 70s. AND i took my first shot of cuervo/tequila, which was chased by corona. on st. patty's day, i was cheating on the irish with the mexicans.
- today i put in my two weeks notice to Uno's. i had to give it to the GM, who then was wondering why i was quitting cause of course i gave no hint that this was gonna happen. i explained that i spent 75% or more of my time at Uno's and so i have no time for theatre (which will not do). so, she suggested, instead of me quitting completely, that i could scale back how many shifts i work, which made a lot of sense. i told her i would think about it, and of course i have two weeks to decide. i'm comtemplating staying. she brought up the good point that i could work as few shifts as i wanted (i'm thinking maybe two or three a week) to still have money and help them out but not be a full time waitress. but like i said, i'm still thinking.
- i feel like i'm forgetting something, but i don't know what it is. so, i guess i'll ramble a little. i made $90 tonight, and i have a dinner shift tomorrow too. i'm missing a family dinner, tho. and i miss my friends something fierce. i got to see cairo, which was awesome, but i haven't seen chole003 in what seems like forever. you don't realize how much you love your friends and family until you don't see them.
ok, enough rambling. i think the MGD has gotten to my head a little, especially since i'm drinking it on an empty stomach. i will leave you all with a smile and the hope that everyone else is feeling good too.
