so apparently now i have 2 jobs.
i was sleeping in on my day off when my cell phone goes off. some number i don't know was on my caller id. i answered it. after me mumbling and finally waking up, i was able to decipher it was a guy named stanley who worked at the hilton in columbia and he was calling about my application for bartender. huh? i faxed that app in almost a month ago, the day before i got my job at Uno's. so he asks me when can i come in for an interview. i asked him when he was free. he suggested today at 4pm. ok.
so i went, he interviewed, and apparently i had the job when i walked in the door. their bar is open 5-10pm M-F and there are already other bartenders. i was hired to "fill in" for them, so i may work as little as one day a week or as much as four days a week. Uno's has yet to put my on a night shift except Fri-Sun, which works out perfectly. so now i have two jobs. i start monday.
i hope this works out. Uno's has yet to yeild the money i was hoping to make. and yet again this month i had to dip into my savings to pay for rent. hopefully this hilton gig will put an end to that and maybe i can even start saving again.
i hope this is a good thing.
