I GOT A JOB!!! I GOT A JOB!!!
this has been one of the best days ever!
it started off with my going to an interview for a job i actually didn't want. it was this coffee shop that seemed nice, but i wanted to bartend. the owner was awesome, tho. he said "no" cause i didn't meet his hours requirement (friday and saturday nights, hence why i didn't want the job). score!
so i set out round 2:30pm to hunt for more opportunities. i dropped by this restaurant called Sonama's, but they weren't hiring. i left them an application anyway and moved on.
then i went into Uno's in Columbia Mall. i asked if they were hiring or accepting applications, and they set me up with this portable computer type application that took FOREVER to fill out. but i did it. and then i had to wait for the manager to come and talk to me. it seemed like forever, but i was patient. when he finally came around, he took me to a booth in the back and asked me some questions. turns out this guy was a theatre major in college too (score!), so we had a conversation about that. i chit-chatted and he loved me. first interview done. i had my second interview right then too with another manager. she liked me as well. things were going great. and then, right there, having only been in the restaurant for an hour and a half, i got a job offer and said "YES!" application, interviews, and hired on the spot!
starting february, i will be a server at Uno's. now though i wanted to be a bartender, they only hire in-staff. so just give me time.
yup, i'm doing my happy dance. my elbows are in. my knees are bent. my ass is sticking out and i'm shaking it!
