last week I took a trip to philliadelphia to visit my best friend. the trip was good until I was on my way back to VA and my car broke down on the DC Beltway. I was stranded there for 3.5 hours during rush hour traffic. Now it's a week later and I have finally gotten my car back with a hefty bill.
I had a long drive home tonight back to jersey to visit my folks. I really didn't enjoy it at all except for two things. One I ran across Temple's college radio station for a while. But the ultimate in nostalgia was hearing Arlo Guthrie doing Alice's Restaraunt. Something about that song just reminded me of my brother, cuz he always loved it I guess. He's in the military and deployed to who knows where for christmas. so it was a nice memory of him since i won't see him for 6 more months.
As much as I have some pretty liberal values, i'd rather not hear about another dramatically overplayed suicide bombing tomorrow. I'm getting sick of that blatently liberal adjenda to incite unrest over every single death.
Safe travels to all, and may we have a peaceful Christmas. Happy Holidays to all. Time to go to a christmas eve party and have the best meatballs in the world. random? yes. but you have no idea.
PS. At Panera Bread they charge you almost 1.50 for cream cheese on a bagel. That's more than the damn ninety cent bagel. So, I was trying to be frugal and just plain sensible about not buying into a 400% markup on cream cheese. As it turned out. The bagel sucked. It desparately needed the creamcheese to make it taste good. This is why i love and miss New Jersey. I can get an amazing bagel with the cream chese for less than 1.50, and the bagel actually tastes good if I opt out of said topping. welcome home.

my thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been lost, those who have been devistated, those who are without home, those who work to search and resque, and the long rebuilding process.
