life just becomes a blur sometimes...how do you make it stop?

i had a dream last night that a girl i had a crush on had an SG Cookbook in her kitchen. random.

caffine just doesn't work for me anymore, at least not the way it does for most people. so i have to quit again for my own good. it just leaves me with...

Last Sunday I made the stupid choice of drinking an entire pot of tea before I went to bed. I was finally tired enough to take a nap around 7am Monday morning, and I slept for maybe two hours.

i certainly understand about life being a blur. never seems to be enough time for everything that needs to dealt with. the upside to insomnia maybe - a few extra hours of vacation at the end of the day.

thank you for the comment (almost a month ago now) and im glad you found it interesting. The Prize is really a good history of the industry and helps sort out issues which are so often oversimplified.

take care

Thanks for any thoughts and prayers for my roommate. He's still with his family leaving me to occupy this apparment by myself. I decided I need to get out more so I jumped at the invitation to go to the Nationals game last night. RFK looks great from a half mile away. I mean it's a really good looking arena. I'll give it a quater...

did you know if you hold your shift key for 8 seconds a little window will pop up? or if you press the shift key 5 times a different one? this only works on XP. it's different filters to alter your key strokes.

if they can do that, what if i press the P key five times...would it pop up with some porn? or the...

Wow...I can't imagine what your roommate must be going through right now. I'd offer words of condolences but it seems rather moot.

If at age 20 success means having sex, then I am a complete and utter failure. I guess success for me is flirting with the super intellignet and super hot recently-graduated-from-high-school chick named Lauren who comes into the coffee shop at night to read, even if it is Ayn Rand she has decided to read. Damn the age gap and damn the fact that she's going to South Carolina for college in a month!

Whenever the Canadiens beat the Rangers or the Devils are quantifiable successes for me, because it generally means they're closer to making the playoffs.

Yeah, I can vouch for you on SGVA. Appomattox is a town in central Virginia near Lynchburg. It's where the Civil War ended which is about it's only claim to fame. -dave

So I just moved to the Fairfax area and i've gotten lost almost every time I've gone out. On one side it's kind of funny and on the other side it's kinda, well, annoying. I prefer to go for long drives when I'm in the mood and not when I'm running errands or late to meeting people. Haha, but I've doubled my knowledge of the...

Life would be great if it were rock opera, especially with a dancing corpse. There were times back at Roanoke College when I'd be eating in the commons and "Uptown Girl" would come on the radio, and I'd imagine everyone getting up and doing a huge musical number. It's just that type of song. It warrants a huge musical number.

"Triumvirate" is a word that refers to a group of three people who are in charge of whatever. The Roman Empire had two triumvirates, the first with Julius Caesar, Pompey, and someone else, and the second with Octavian (later Augustus), Marc Antony, and someone else again. The more I read over that poem the more I like my samurai one more. I'll post that one in a while.

The rest of this week will be intense. One of my best friends; his mother is on her death bead. Cancer. Probably less than two weeks. Monday night after work, I drive 5 hours home, spend tuesday in jersey with another close friend before he moves out to Colorado. I drive back 5 hours Wednesday morning to make it back intime for work. This weekend...

"Rid a cab" puts "all up in yo grill" in a whole new light.

All of my good friends keep telling me that I rock, but I never really think of myself as rocking. I'm more of a lazy S.O.B. who plays too many video games for his own good. I do appreciate the sentiment whenever it comes, though. Thanks.

Hope everything goes well with your traveling.

I played golf today for the first time of the spring. I've literally played 3 times in my life now. I hope to play with my brother while he's around in the next month. I don't get to see him often enough. I'm not really huge into golf but it is relaxing, and it is an excellent networking/social game. Thousands of business deals are sealed...

I think if you took a random sample of people at a golf course, like 3/4ths of em would say that.

Where do you work?

A couple of things about your application don't bode well for your chances of admission, the most obvious being that the application review committee can't very well review your application anonymously when it's posted in my journal.

Another beautiful day outside. I'll miss having a porch when my lease is up in July. The relaxed times drinking, writing on my laptop, reading, napping, watching movies, conversations with my friends and roommates, or just sitting together watching the world go by... porches are a world of their own. I now realize their nostaligic value.

still torn where to be...

I have to get...

i like sleeping 10 hours a night, and i like a healthy mix of sleeping with someone and enjoying sleep on your own.

or something wild and intriguing

A million ideas but how many actoins?

Inaction is so easy. It's safe and comfortable for a square like me. I'm kind of in a waiting point. I have a job, I have a 3 year plan to finish my degree, I can make it just fine the way things are now. But what about all the crazy ideas, dreams, and plans. But is this...

Regardless of what you think of American policies, we still have troops around the world dying everyday.
Yes, freedom isn't always right.
But no, freedom isn't free.

People die every day for millions of reasons. It's weird to think that. Is any one life or death greater than another? We are born into unequal opportunities,...
