yeah, the station is in the picture,
I knew it right away
I don't remember it stinking much, but that might be selective memory (I was 10) I would climb down the cliff, disappear into the "woods" for hours until after dark and completely freak my mother out... ahh.. memories...
Did you see a treehouse floor? 100 feet up, like directly across the way you were facing?

How did the kayaking go? It's pretty shallow and rocky..
