So I'm now legally allowed to ride a motorbike in Australia, yippee! Now all I need is this tongue

Still really excited about my birthday.. I am so determined to make it awesome after last years (which was the worst weekend of my entire life)... Though last night my best mate, who I wanted to come more than anyone, cancelled because his girlfriend has to work in the morning (lame-o!!) and now I'm kinda upset cos he promised he would come after not coming to so many of my things in the past... frown But mehhhh I'll get over it! I understand he has to take his girlfriend's feelings into account before mine so it's all good... smile

Now I just want my bike, dammit!

i owned the zzr 250 when i was on my l's. they are a good learner bike. essentially the same bike. the major difference between the two bikes is aesthetic.

all i say to you is please be careful, as i have been off work for almost 4 months now after a bike accident. my bike is below. it is the one on the left



that was before the accident. the only good thing to come out of it is i finally get to do the custom paintjob i always wanted. but good luck to you all the same. you will have a ball riding.

what are you thinking of upgrading to once you are off your resticted license period???

um the custom paint will be a black base and all along the bike will be white/silver airbrushed cracks as though the whole thing were glass and bullet holes (i know bee done way too many times before) but parts of the cracks will have clear red added to them to give the illusion of blood running through those cracks. on either side of the fuel tank where the knees rest will have the "Queen of hearts" card. i will be putting a carbon fibre rear and front wheel covery thingy (i cant remember what they are called) and behind the rear brake setup and gear shifter intead of the standard plating i will be getting a new one water cut with gsx-R in it the way it is written on the bike. most of the parts that are interchangeable will be annodised either red or gold. the triples will be annodised red. everything will just suit the colour scheme. luckily for me my little brother is a spraypainter now, so i can get the paint work done very cheap. like $5 for the base and $50 to get the airbrushing done. that makes me very happy.

i know you cant ride anything bigger just yet, but maybe late on some of the naked 600's might be up your alley. like the ducati monster. they dont really sit that high and are relatively light. i have the opposite problem to you. i am 6'4" nad 100 kg's so i need my 1000cc's under me. the other problem is the width of some brands fuel tanks. i prefer them wider because of the length of me. but as long as you are comfortable and you enjoy the bike then who cares what anyone else says right?

when do you think you will be able to pick your bike up??? have you got anyone to ride with???
