Wow. What a few exciting days in a row for me.... Mum's was okay apart from all the driving, and I managed to find something to occupy myself with most of the time. Got what I think was my first speeding ticket on Sunday night (was doing at least 15k's over the limit and then I saw the damn flash - there goes 3 of 4 points 
), then on my way home from work on Monday night I was rear-ended on the Story Bridge and the fuckwit drove off 
I went to the coppers and apparently they can't make a report unless my damage is more than $5k.. not happy Jan. Methinks it will be cheaper to pay to fix it myself than to pay a bigger premium over the next few years... hmmm...
Had a lovely drive out to the country past Beaudesert last night... I forgot how beautiful the country is and now I really want to go live there again, lol. I grew up in a country town on a farm, so I'm a country girl at heart and hadn't realised how much I missed it. I wish I had taken my camera - it had just finished raining, so everything was a clear sparkling green and the atmosphere was so pure and oh my god, it was just beautiful. Damn I wish someone would invent a 'camera' that could capture the whole essence of moments like that.
Looking forward to the coming week... Board games at my house on Tuesday night! Yay! I will love having the ability to get pissed and not having to worry about getting home or feeling like shit the day after, lol
Work rang this morning and asked me to work at Jindalee over the weekend
The people there are so different from The Valley... lots and lots of suburban families (too many brats running around dammit!) and bogans.. unlike my store where the demographic is basically gay or rich couples with no children and a shitload of money... I don't know how I will cope at Jindalee...
UPDATE AGAIN: I am now permanently at Jindalee on the weekends, and the Valley during the week Which is fine but now it's my job to run both shops - no better pay mind you - cos "I can handle the higher pressure of Jindalee on the weekend better than anyone, then I can go back to the Valley and sort out their weekend's mess". So now I'm the damn go between, lol.
Anyyyhooo I have so much stuff to do this arvo, I am such a procrastinist... so toodles and hope everyone has a good weekend
