Well I failed miserably, and I am more incredibly pissed off than I have been in a loooong time.
Firstly, driving examiner tests my left hand electric window - for some reason it doesn't work. Apparently that equates to a 'defective' vehicle and an automatic fail; because if there is an accident, he needs to be able to open the window - EVEN THOUGH if I was in an accident the car switches off and the power windows WON"T WORK! Stupid fuckhead.
Secondly, my nice driving instructor and the asshole examiner have an argument over it - by the time they've finished (approx 7-10 minutes) the windows are working again and yet examier insists on failing me. Driving instructor goes inside and reads the big law book thingy, which states that, yes, all electric functions (ie windows, mirrors etc) must be functioning, so as they are working NOW (time of the test) it's okay.
Thirdly, examiner gets in the car, and repeats to me about, hmmm, 10 times, that he is doing something illegal by letting me drive my car (BULLSHIT - defective windows do not make it unroadworthy) by which time I am already ropeable. He then proceeds to take me on a half hour test, in which he continues to repeat to me over and over how illegal and wrong it is and that ' he needs to be able to open the window at any time in case he gets injured etc etc', which was incredibly unprofessional, and as far as I'm concerned it equates to intimidating behaviour aka bullying.
So as the story goes..... For the last 3 lessons my instructor has told me he couldn't pick a fault with my driving, however this guy manages to make 8 demerit points in about 10 minutes from things like taking off too early behind another car at lights, only having one hand on the steering wheel around corners (while I am changing gears which is apparently the wrong way to do it) and not driving in the centre of the road when there are cars on either side (of a very wide lane).
And thus I fail very, very badly. Am sitting the test again next Monday, in the meantime I have to get the indicators and windows fixed.

It has no bearing on whether you can drive or not, you just have to do it the text book way.
Good luck!
Maybe see if you can watch the guy test it etc, that way you may be a bit better off next time.
