I don't know if you'd noticed, but it's been a couple days since I updated my journal. Anyways, let me bring you up to speed.
Earlier last month, I went to my first real (ie, non-school) audition. It was for a collection of mini-plays based on the Grimm Brother's stories. I did fairly well, but didn't get cast.
From my listening to The Buzz (a local radio station) and participating in their Freeloaders program, I was able to get free tickets to go see "Urinetown, the musical" - it's a good show.
I ended up asking a cute girl I chat with at the food court where I work out to see the play.
Before we left the mall, she introduced me to her boyfriend. *shrugs* I was mildly disappointed, but hadn't invested too much hope in the "date" (as my mom kept calling it) in case of such an outcome. It was still a fun evening and I'm proud I was able to even broach the topic.
After a good amount of work, my orchestration of the Theatre Banquet was a complete success. I got a few complements on my work and had fun with my theatre compatriots. I even got some gentle ribbing about my continued presence in the department (about 4 years, I think).
As far as work goes, I'm slowly starting to get more hours. It's been a few months since the debacle that resulted in the (nearly) complete replacement of my store's workforce, but I'm finally getting back to where I was before - hopefully the trend will continue.
That's it for now - more updates as necessary...
