Well, I s'pose I should do an update:
I recently went to a casting call for extras on a new Jennifer Aniston movie they're filming in town. They called me back to go in last Wednesday to consider me as a stand-in for Steve Zahn - kinda flattering. They ended up picking another guy, but it's probably for the best: they're doing most of the filming in Madras and I don't have a car (plus basically would have been forced to immediately quit my dayjob). But, hey, at least I got a couple hours pay for just sittin' around.
Work's been okay. But sometimes I wish I had a more stable/standardized job, just so I could better persue my acting - it's kind of annoying to feel like you have to fight for time off or otherwise futz around with what freetime I get randomly just so I can follow my passion.
Sunday before last, I went to a casting call for another reality show pilot - this one was Theatre related. I don't want to get to much into the details (since he's still trying to sell it), but it seems like it would be interesting/fun.
Next monday is the last adjustment for my braces. Then just 3 weeks till they come off (an' about another week to get my retainer). I miss crunchy/hard food...
Been getting some more driving practice in lately, I'm almost ready to take the test for my license (ie, I'm probably ready now, but I alway like to over prepare because I'm so damned cautious).
Next year is my 10 year reunion, and it doesn't feel like I've really accomplished that much. *sigh* Sometimes it feels like my 'life' needs a jumpstart - that's one reason I've been interested in those reality shows. I see the potential in me, but I'm so scared of failing (even though I know I usually adapt just fine) that I have trouble taking the risks that I know I need to take (I've caged the lemming in me).
'till later
