WhosUrYeti: battered and bruised i fall to the floor like a disgarded rag doll.
WhosUrYeti: to be left behind for now. but one day, someone new will now the joy of my simplicity.
WhosUrYeti: until then, i wait paciently, watching the world, and gathering dust.
WhosUrYeti: i need to comb my hair or get a new dress. maybe someone will notice me then.
WhosUrYeti: but if i change, would i still be me?
WhosUrYeti: it's becoming hard to recognize myself in the mirror in the mornings. i'm scared of the change, but i am liking it more and more.
WhosUrYeti: to see what everyone is looking for is always different from what they see.
WhosUrYeti: everyone is looking for today's new doll.
WhosUrYeti: the one that talks, that sings and dances.
WhosUrYeti: but i can't move.
WhosUrYeti: i can only wait. and love.
WhosUrYeti: until someone new picks me up, the only thing i can do is wait.
WhosUrYeti: the dust has gotten thick, but they have tried to help me to the front of the shelf.
WhosUrYeti: but i'm either too high or to low.
WhosUrYeti: for some reason people look at me, just to say, i remember one of those.
WhosUrYeti: my thread has gotten thin and my hair is starting to go.
WhosUrYeti: they don't make them like me anymore.
WhosUrYeti: and even when they try, it's not the same.
WhosUrYeti: i have pride. and i have dust.
WhosUrYeti: don't cough, please, don't cough. if you cough you won't like me
WhosUrYeti: i bring back bad memories if you cough.
WhosUrYeti: remember me? remember when you were five and you couldn't go to grandma's with out me?
WhosUrYeti: i remember. i miss that.
WhosUrYeti: i remember being your best friend and how you would hold me close at night because you were afraid i would just up and leave.
WhosUrYeti: but why does it hurt when you hold me?
WhosUrYeti: don't squeeze please!
WhosUrYeti: there is too much dust in my seams.
WhosUrYeti: my thread has gotten thin and you are tearing me.
WhosUrYeti: i know you only want to remember the times that i was the only thing you could think of.
WhosUrYeti: please be careful i don't know how much longer i can stay together.
WhosUrYeti: my arms are barely holding on.
WhosUrYeti: my legs dwindle as they dangle.
WhosUrYeti: my dress is torn and my hair has been ripped out.
WhosUrYeti: my coloring has faded so that i'm as pale as the dust on me.
WhosUrYeti: i know i want you to remember me, but if you touch me, i'll fall apart.
WhosUrYeti: i can't see you anymore because of the dust collected on me.
WhosUrYeti: i can't watch as you grow up with out me
WhosUrYeti: how you've out growen me
WhosUrYeti: the memories of our past is slowing fading my what i can remember.
WhosUrYeti: i do remember that yesterday a slight breeze came through the room and moved my leg.
WhosUrYeti: as it dangled off the edge of the shelf it fell.
WhosUrYeti: there isn't much time for me.
WhosUrYeti: i know that i haven't been completely forgotten.
WhosUrYeti: i know who i am.
WhosUrYeti: i know someone used to play with me.
WhosUrYeti: but i know that the next gust of wind is going to take me away with it.
WhosUrYeti: i know that now i am nothing more then the dust that will gather on the next ragdoll.
WhosUrYeti: to be left behind for now. but one day, someone new will now the joy of my simplicity.
