So for the last 2 months, I've been cracking away at a Project for a Model Builders Competition in the summer. I'm making a scale diorama of a WWII battlefield in the Ardennes Forest in France Dec 1943. The Siege of Bastogne. Where the 506th PIR Echo Company ( Easy Co. for short) held control of a small town of Carentan, during the Battle of the Buldge. In this diorama, I am building Mobile Suit kits with a custom paint scheme. 4 total, 2 allies, and 2 Axis. Least of all the actual landscape model. So far I've managed to complete 1 to about 80% or so. feel a bit overwhelmed, knowing I have 3 more to build.
Model building has always been a huge hobby for me, next to Computers and Guns ( i know not many people approve of the that these days). I started model building back when I was 5 years old. On and off over the years I built many more and picked up tips and trick for replicating different visual effects. all to add realism to the build. This time around I am making my own custom Decals to apply to the models. I hope this whole project comes out. I haven't even thought of a layout for the landscape.
