Usually my timing is HORRIBLE... but the other day a friend and I were at Petco and this man was bringing in fish he could no longer keep. Me, being a nosey snoop peeked into the bucket and he had two koi!!! I asked the worker from the store what they were going to do with them, she explained that they couldn't sell "used" animals and the fish would have to be put up for adoption... Without skipping a beat I claimed both the Black and the silver koi!!!



its hard to see in the picture, but the silver fish is right above the black one. The black koi is about 7 inches long and the silver is about 5.
