So today/this evening I made the jump into online dating. Now I'm kinda skeptical about this whole thing but this is my dilemma. I work in an industry that is 98% male, work close to 80 hours per week (yes you read that correctly) and I've been doing this for 6 years straight. I don't even know the first thing to dating anymore. It's a sad state of affairs I'm in at the moment. We'll see how things go though... It's better than me doing nothing I suppose. And maybe, just maybe... there will be someone out there for me?!
Aside from that adventure which I'm sure will unfold in a slow manner, I'm working my butt off and things are going really well. My bike is being difficult and the insurance company is being even more difficult. Heads-up to anyone who gets a customized motorbike; make sure you find an insurance company that will insure you first. Otherwise, it's a huge pain in the butt. Fingers are crossed though that it all works out for me.
I'm excited about Canada Day festivities here. Going out with some guys from work who rarely ever come out. It's going to be so much fun. They're great people who are a blast at work and even more fun away from it. This will also be a great test to see how things might be if all of us visit Europe together. Seb is from Poland, Juri is from the Ukraine, Mike is from Poland but lived in Greece for a really long time. They want to take a bunch of us to their home countries and show us how the sites and sounds. I picture it being a mixture of old men trying to be young again with sprinkles of rowdiness and maturity towards the beauty of a foreign experience. Last time I was in Europe I ended up dancing on the hood of a cop car in Paris, across the lake from the Cathedral. I also was mature enough to not get arrested and calmly (apparently) explain that I have a special disorder that I will go back to my hotel and pass out and deal with in the morning. The last bit was explained to me by a friend... I remember nothing including the cop car party. I do remember the pints of beer they served with flares though in an orange. Good times
Anywho, laundry and dinner is calling me. take care SG
