So ya... Ummm... I've been MIA for a long time and I apologize. Work tends to take up a ton of my time and when I do have free time, it's usually spent sleeping.
So re-cap of life:
Last post I was in Paris... that seems so long ago... back on topic; Paris was amazing, saw pretty much everything I wanted to catch in Paris and made a friend who lives in Toronto, who I chat with here and there via Facebook. Then it was Berlin, which was pretty cool. I was sad though because we ended up finding the "fun" parts of town the night before we were leaving. Seeing the wall or pieces of the wall was something special. All the museums as well were really interesting. Then it was Prague. Amazing city! Beautiful, warm, and very relaxing. I had an amazing time in Prague, and it was the one place I knew nothing about and had no expectations about. Best moment, sun tanning on a boat (floating hostel - which we didn't stay in) drinking beer, looking out towards a castle and what looked like a monastery as people would float by us and take pictures. Just incredible. Last it was Rome... and wow, what a whirlwind that was getting all the sightseeing stuff in. Rome is amazing once you have the sightseeing stuff out of the way and you can just enjoy the city. The pub crawls there were really fun (though I recommend pre-drinking because it's really expensive to drink at the bars there).
Then it was back home and back to reality. I started work at 6:00am the following day from landing back in Canada (I landed at 5:50pm), and proceeded to go straight to bed. I missed my bed...
Since that point, it's been work, work, work and paying off various bills that I accumulated from not working for 5 months and traveling. I did get to visit Vancouver though for Labour Day long weekend here, and visit my god-daughters, including the youngest one, who I saw for the first time. She's so beautiful and looks very similar to her oldest sister at that age (4 months) just with different hair and eye colour.
Hope everyone has been enjoying the summer, I know fall is close, and not everyone is excited to hear that. Summer seemed to fly by very quickly this year. I learned (sorta) how to golf this summer, for a charity golf tournament, and apparently I'm actually good at it.
That's been my life the past 4 and a half months... the Coles Notes version at least.
