Up here rental vacancy is really low. I told my tenant in the basement he had to be out by the end of June, and he is having no luck finding another abode in the area. I should just jack the rent up on him, but I have decided I would prefer my space to the extra dinero.
As I slowly drift into a long term relationship, I think about the longer term...one of the long term items is kids...what is one of the first things I ask myself you say... how much money does it cost to raise one of these things?

Spanish is the obvious choice at this juncture. You've listed all of the reasons so just go with it. You can then learn German or even study it at the same time without concern of confusion - but you probably should not study Spanish and Italian at the same time. Italian will be much easier to learn once you've mastered Spanish though.
A good understanding of Newtonian Physics (the physics of big things) will help you out every moment of every day. Because every thing boils down to physics in the end.
