Good day and Happy New Years!
Hope all your festivities of last evening were fruitful and joyous!
Mine was fairly good. Best mate and I went to our local with some of her family and some of our friends. It was an interesting evening as I now understand why when she was younger my best mate was made to sign a contract agreeing to never drink vodka again. Scarey girl! Not really, just a little bit of arrogance and selfishness reared it's ugly head. But bless her, she did apologise profusely this afternoon at half two when we decided we should join the land of the living.
Well, I guess this is the time of year for resolutions and reflections.
What have I learnt over this last year? I suppose that I'm not bad person, that my education has become important to me and that my life need not revolve around a man. Strangely quite liking my life as it is right now, just being me, doing what I want, when I want.
As for resolutions. It is my plan to go to see a friend of mine once he's moved overseas. I beleieve it's Canada he's going to but still trying to find out where. He's going to improve his snowboarding skills and hopefully get a sponsorship. He's very good and has made me promise that he will teach me how to snowboard. So, there's my resolution. Stop smoking when I've finished the last five in my box and save that cash towards my plane ticket.
I will also increase on my exercise and try and eat a little healthier. Sure so many people will be shaking their heads as soooooo many people say the same thing every year! But I'm not planning to be some health nut, just not so crap at looking after myself. Please shoot me if I ever take up jogging! Fell into that trap years ago and my knees have never forgiven me!
A big resolution for me and my best mate is to become a little more cultured this year. Starting by a visit to a gallery suggested by the lovely blackwell and looking into other shows and film debuts etc for the remainder of the year.
So any more suggestions of interesting and culturalesque type things are greatly appreciated!
I hope 2006 brings you all you hope and dream of!
Oh yeah, new pics in the pics folders from New Years if anyone's interested!? I apologise for the quality! A new digi cam is currently being looked into.
