So nothing terribly interesting has happened of late. Gish had shows, friends had parties, stereomood played me good music, la la la. Now, I'm getting spring fever. It's absolutely gorgeous in our part of Austin. High 70's with a lovely breeze and sunny.
Gish and I are in the process of adopting a doggy. His name is Phatty, he's, as far as we can tell, a corgi/chihuahua mix, and hesh jusht the cutesht thing you've ever sheen, yesh he ish!
Our adoption application was already accepted, we had our phone interview, but we have yet to meet him. We're hoping for sometime this week.
Oh, back on Feb. 23, there was a crazy snow storm.
There had to have been at least an inch on rooftops. My camera is shite for taking video, but here's one that sorta demonstrates. It was crazy bright, and coming down much harder than that shows.
My craftiness had been kinda put on hold due to lack of creativity (I HATE WINTER!). It's starting to pick back up again. I picked up supplies from the dollar store and asian market across the street to make a doggy yurt I saw on this one blog. Not until later did I realize that wasn't as easy as the pictures made it look, so the supplies shall go to other projects. The support structure was to be made out of chopsticks. I didn't want to throw out all those wrappers (such waste), so I started making a basket. I just have to go get another pack of them... and have 40 more pairs... just lying around... ah hell. Maybe I'll make one of those lampshades kids make out of popsicle sticks but use chopsticks instead.
I also found this lamp by a dumpster:
Oh yes, that's potpourri inside. And it had a black light bulb. So I cleaned it up, gutted it, and threw in a new bulb and wallah!
I has a new lamp! We're thinking about getting a bucket o' army men to put in there instead of movie tickets.
Anyway, time for some spring cleaning.
