Wow, the last few days have been off the wall busy. Wednesday, I got up early expecting to go to GED classes. The "expecting" should be the give away that it didn't happen. NO ONE WAS THERE! I wanted to be patient and wait it out for like an hour cause ya know... it was my first class and I didn't want to get in trouble. Finally, the property manager was walking around and he told me that they weren't there. GREAT! Lucky thing though is that while eating breakfast, I happened to turn on the news and found out there was a job fair at a local hotel. After waiting for an hour for nobody to show up we went to the fair. It was for the hotel so there weren't any booths. Just take an app, fill it out, hand it in. Woo. We also visited my old boss, Megan, who will probably read this. Hi Megan! That was a happy thing cause she told me that they would like to have me back, they just can't afford it. That made my day
. We wandered around at Game Over, Micheals, the mall, and HEB too before finally going home.
Thursday was even more hectic. Class went off without a hitch except for the fact that I WAS SUPPOSED TO START MONDAY. I'm sure ya'll can imagine how frustrating that was. The lady who gave me my class assignment apparently screwed up a lot of people's paperwork. My friend, Nate, from orientation managed to get the same class and he was told Tuesday. Someone else was told Wednesday so who knows, someone new could show up next week too. I like adult ed though. People are more mature and easier to deal with. And my teacher is awesome. After class I had to hang out at Gish's parent's frame shop where he pseudo works (he was laid off but still goes in... I won't get into it). I got to make two more jellyfish out of pink variegated yarn. One kinda looks like a boob. I don't have pictures right now, but I'll be sure to take some next time it's sunny
.
The madness really happened last night. As previously posted, it was Gish''s show night. I heard the club, Pangaea, was swanky. I didn't know how swanky. Then I saw the site. I'm thinking that's the New York location, but of course the girly in me panicked. I didn't have anything to wear! I didn't feel like going all over town to find something, so we went to JC Penny's. The dress I found is CUTE! I'll also document that in the sunlight tomorrow. The shoes are fracking adorable too. They were a bit too small, but they looked great! Joey laughed when I put them on. He said, "Shoe's are the new corset!" I wasn't bulging out or anything. They're only a half size too small, but it was enough so that I couldn't bend my toes after taking them off
. Enough about my shoes. I had a really great time after I prettied myself up, stopped freaking out, and got over the hyperness from truffles. The show probably could have gone better, but I thought it was ok. Joey got obnoxiously pissed off afterwards and started taking it out on Joe and Gish. Oh well, I wasn't gonna let him get me down
. Lots of friends showed up. We're still waiting on the verdict of whether they got the residency or not. Andrew and Robin got pretty drunk. Andrew kept following me around to watch my ass when I went up and down stairs (the club was on the second floor). I'm dead serious. His face was on bum level every time. Joe, Carly, Gish and I hit up Kerby Lane on Guadalupe before driving all the way up to Round Rock then back home.
2 AM to 7 AM sleep is no bueno. It took me a good hour and a half to not fall asleep in class this morning. My multiplication went completely out the window. I had to keep asking Nate was 3x6 was. Class was fun though. There are some really interesting people in there. There's an older woman who was talking about horoscopes and seeing angels. Nate managed to distract the teacher, Ignacio, with oxymorons. He was gonna talk about synonyms, but oxymorons are much more fun
. He asked the class if they'd every ridden a mechanical bull. Nate said yeah. Ignacio then asked him if he was wasted. You don't hear that in high school
!
Gish and I went to Mighty Fine for lunch then I got the nap. Now it's dinner and Dr. Who time. I'll have pictures tomorrow!<3

franie:
Wasted bull riding is definitely not part of the usual high school ciriculum.
