Seashell chocolates and Love Actually are keeping me sane tonight.

I've had a strange week. I have been so homesick for South Africa, I feel like spending the rest of my money on a plane ticket back to Cape Town but I know that it would be an unhelpful decision at this point. I don't normally express negative aspects of my life on here as I don't want to bore you with the details but yeah.... I'm just feeling vulnerable right now.
London is a big, lonely city and it was all a bit overwhelming this week. My birthday is in a week and in Cape Town I would have someone trying to sneak a surprise birthday party on me and I am feeling the loss of those friends keenly now. I've made a wonderful friend in Reuben and I am super grateful for that. She is an angel and a crazy good time as well. We are sewing soul-sisters or something, I have few people that would enjoy fabric shopping as much as I do.
Still, I do miss the people left behind in South Africa and this is one of the few times I'll mope about it. I promise.
Moving onnnn....
I'm working in hospitality through an agency until I find something in fashion. So I'm working 5 star hotels, serving at events etc. It's not difficult work but the uniforms are rather unpleasant to wear. Formal shirt, tie, waistcoat, pencil skirt, stockings and court shoes are standard dresscode for me. ERP. I'll take a picture tomorrow to show you the horror!!
Hmmmm.... My photo uploader is broken again so I'll have to do all the rest of the photo's tomorrow. *sigh*
Good night dears <3
