Season 3 of Mr. Show has arrived, along w/ Bowling for Columbine. I'm also in the process of trying to re-carpet stairs, which sucks way worse than I would have imagined.

Hey.. does anyone play spades? In the long, long ago I had a group of friends who would get together and drink and play spades and it was a really good time... I haven't had a good game in years... I don't know why I have been thinking about it.

never really played spades, but I wouldnt mind learning. On another note this last hamster did last almost 3 times longer than any other hamster before him.

i've been to gabe's in iowa city a few times. i used to live in nebraska, so i'm pretty familiar with the I*80 towns from road-tripping. i actually bought pants at coralville mall a few times. well, one time but it was multiple pairs.

It is no longer August 15... so I must update my journal... this time I won't make a date specific entry to I wouldn't be forced to update it again tommorrow, especially since I have nothing interesting to say, ever.
It reminds me of a story I once heard about a traveling salesman and a farmer..

Entry number two! Yeah... I just got a gift certificate to the Home Depot as an early birthday present... what should I get? There are many things I NEED for around the house, but I'd rather spend it on things I don't need... maybe a big book of carpet samples... dunno.

I'd suggest the purchase of a quality nailgun. While working on a roof this summer I had a lot of fun with a nailgun.

Perhaps it's merely a matter of a lot of quality animated show on television and a dearth of quality live-action shows. I personally find it very difficult to relate to anything on t.v., but I still find it enjoyable most of the time. Nothing to worry about.

It's always funny looking back on things you wrote when you were younger. I always have a good time when I flip through stories that I wrote when I was in high school. I cringe when I read the essays; I had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, and I had no rhetoric style.

Interesting about The Terminator. The first movie that made me have nightmares was Fame (though it might've been the t.v. show. was there a t.v. show?). It was the scene where they were doing The Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch of the West was doing something. Freaked me out. It sounds really pathetic now.

i don't have xbox live, unfortunately. i will eventually, i'm sure. i haven't played mech assault, either. i thought it looked...just kinda average. we recently got ghost recon over here though, and that looks fun, and i know island thunder just came out, even more reason to get live.

i've been playing a lot of kung fu chaos. fun game. i know a new rainbow six is due soon. the real juice i'm aniticipating is Fable. who knows when they're gonna drop that on us...it continually gets pushed back. halo 2 is out next march, i'm stoked for that. it looks great. and BC could be really amazing.

jeez. i didn't realize how big a video game geek i am. biggrin
