An Open Letter to New Seasons Grocery Stores
Dear New Seasons:
I read an I,Anonymous in the Portland Mercury a few months back about those people who build their hot wok's too large. I am one of those people. And I'm not appologizing. While you offer an amazing service, you must realize that the food is increasingly addictive, and therefore, only charging $5.75 for a basic wok bowl that you can fill to the brim with any veggies, noodles, rice and fruit of my choice is your own god-damned fault. If you don't like people taking advantage of the system, charge more. When I enter your store, I b-line it to the wok station, and grab my bowl. Not only do I know what I want, I know how to layer it in the bowl so I can get the maximum bowl. Spinach on the bottom first, and lots of it (it cooks down to basically nothing). Then I put my broccoli around the edge of the bowl, therefore building a barrier to build up from. Then peppers, onions, mandarin oranges or pineapple, baby corn, corn, water chestnut, and garlic go in at any random order. When I'm done, I'm the asshole that goes BACK to the front of the line to put the noodles on top. Why? Because it squishes everything down further.
Not only is this my favorite food ever, but one trip to the hot wok manages to feed me for two meals. I love you New Seasons. Thank you. But don't ever complain about me in a newspaper ever again. I'm your best fucking customer.

You may not have noticed, so let me politely point out that my newest set Nook went live on June 12th. It was shot by tmronin, who I've now worked with 3 times. It was shot back in September, so I'm glad it finally went live. THANKS STAFF... (I bitched and moaned a bit) I'm shocked to see it's already plowed through 3000 comments, and has left my Hell City set with over 5300, and my Up in the Attic set with a little over 2000. This is fantastic! Thank you all for your love and support. The more you show your appreciation through comments, the more often you can see me naked. So THANK YOU!
