I want to start this blog off by something I've really been mulling around in my brain lately. And I owe it mostly to Regina Spektor, but her lyrics have really caught me and made me think about something more deeply. I was told not to share things unless asked, because most of the time people just aren't ready to hear it, but I'm going to go out on a limb and put it out there. Here are the lyrics... and you can read or not read. But I think it's certainly worth sharing and mentioning... especially the second set of lyrics where it's talking about "peering inside yourself and loving the things you take, and loving yourself first, before investing that love in someone else". A good point was brought up to me today.. If you're going to give love to someone, how can you make sure that love nourishment is fullfilling until you know it's fullfilling to yourself. Anyway.. some food for thought.
