Great news! I was one of the top 5 off the 220 applicants for that job for the city!! That means I have a job interview tomorrow at 8am!! It's a panel interview so I"m kinda nervous+ I found out it doesn't pay as well as I thought (top pay is 80 cents more than I make now & it's in Kirkland) But the benefits are better & I think I'd enjoy the job...I also feel guilty now cause my boss, who I've also grown to really like & respect just found out she has 12 fibroids, one the size of a grapefruit & she must have them removed. She'll be gone from work for 4-6 weeks & right now we are already operating two people shy, since the company is fuckin lame & wants to overwork us & save $$....SO here's my dilemna-do I say sorry I have to do what is best for me-good luck with scheduling surery with only 1 person to cover a 655am-745pm day (normally a 3 man gig) or do I hold out & wait for a transfer out of my department (which should be in like 6 months I HOPE) & give her some time. My job is supervising collections reps in a call center. It's thankless & it's emotionally draining-BUT the company itself is pretty awesome-it's just my department-I've been waiting for a transfer for 2 years & they are few & far between. The uppity ups say they should start coming through this year-but they said that last year & we only had like 20 transfers available for over like 800 people in 2003...What a dilemna...I'm jumping the gun I know-I haven't even been offered the job-but that is my nature-to overanalyze everything....Basically it comes down to this: I would be happy with a tranfer-I'd prefer it to finding a new place to work. BUT that is in no way a guarantee that it will happen before I truly am burnt out.BLAH!!
enough of that-yesterday was gorgeous-I went for a ride out to watch my girl play softball for SU & they beat the #1 ranked team once & barely lost the other game-it was awesome. Now today-2 more games & it's just as gorgeous-I love being able to get Ruby out this early in the season. She loves it too cause she's been so good to me-starting right up & popping into neutral when she should (she is usually very damn stubborn)...so off I go to enjoy the sunshine! Hope y'all are doing FABULOUS!!

I'm leaving here on Sunday to go to Houston for my inprocessing for the job, then probably after a week there, I leave for the middle east and ultimately Iraq. Also to relieve the cramping in your hand, get yourself a hydraulic clutch and put it on your bike. My clutch is so tight that when I am riding slow alot, my hand hurts soooo bad that I feel like crying. There are two kinds. One is a cheapo version and the other is really nice and high tech, but worth the money. I can give you the name of my buddy here that owns a bike shop if you need help looking for one. He would probably help you pick one out and then ship it to you if you want.
I might have a friend check my SG page for me every now and then so I can update, but I don't think I will be able to look on it myself from Iraq. Send me your email addy and when I get an address, I'll send it to you and we'll write.
Yay, someone is gonna write me...
Hey, did I tell you I have green eyes too??
Plus, I think you are super duper sexy. I hate the word "hot" it doesn't do you justice.
You are soooo pretty. I'm in love.

Its a hard decision, but ultimately you gotta look out for no.1, especially when it come to corporate America. It sounds the company is already taking advantage Do you think your company is going to reward you for staying, knowing that you passed up a better job/more money? It may only be $.80 now, but is there a raise after a 90 probationary period? What are you chances for advancement? It sucks that honor and loyalty rarely get you anything in the work place, but thats life.
Thats cool about your GFs team winning against the #1 ranked team. And yes, it was a beautiful weekend. Sunday was amazing. It should be like it again next weekend. I didnt get out too much, had a lot of yard work to catch up on. And my girlfriend wanted to go to a BBQ one of her friends was throwing. All my riding buddies were busy anyway. Going to have to start planning ahead more for our cycle rides.
Good luck with your decision, youll make the right one. Whatever that is, dont second guess and dont look back.
Talk to you later
