Fuck. I was all excited for SD & then I got my award letter (financial aid summary) they are only willing to certify me for $39k in loans. This is because of my CURRENT income, which DUH I won't have when I move. However Seattle U which is considerably a much better school, who gets the same figures from the FAFSA is willing to loan me $54k a year. WTF?? I wrote Cal West. an email seeing if i can appeal-but it looks like I might be stuck in the rainy city for 3....more....years. I'm depressed. my gf says if we have to stay-she's buyin me a uv lamp so I don't jump off a bridge. bizzooo hizzoo.
However, I'm tryin to psych myself up for the "worst"
reasons why s.u. won't be that bad:
1. it's in the top 100 in the nation. Cal western is a Tier 3 school (aka WAY below su in rankings)
2. I have a cheap apartment I share with my gf here in seattle
3. SU offers subsidized bus passes.
4. the tuition it's self is 4,500 cheaper a year
5. I can work through the summer & save more $$.
ok-I've almost convinced myself not to cry...almost.
