That is a GREAT plan! I'm trying something similar myself. If I understand what your aiming for, it's to get your OWN life under control. Being able to do the things that you know are good for you and to get back to a time in your life when you felt good and strong and...alive.

Well, at least that's what I want to do. I seem to be failing quite miserably at it but I'm going to keep on trying.

So, if you need moral support, let me know. I'll be that little voice in your corner saying "Yay you!!!!"

Graceful retreats are HIGHLY overrated! Head down and charge I say! It might turn out badly (with brain clawing and such) but at least you gave it your all!!!

Diversity is a good thing! The old peopl with mittens confuse me but the guy in the orange dress is local...ummm colour!

I tend to drink my gin with tonic (how old man is that?) but the thing I really like about gin is that you can mix it with just about anything. Gin and pink lemonade is great. Strangely coloured but tasty none the less!

I agree with the "comforting to be with someone you know" philosophy. It's so true!

Of course there is a difference between comfortable and happy. I couldn't get the two straight so I ended up going to extremes. No dating, no sex no nothing until I got control of myself and knew what I really wanted. It sucked at the time but when you take the option of sex out of the picture things can get lot clearer.

You know, based on what I've read in your journals you seem to be a really smart person. You'll make the right decisions for you I'm sure. It's tough when there are so many easy opportunities though.

Chopping wood gets a lot of frustrations out. Granted today is not nearly as much fun but the chopping part was a blast! Even better since I still have both feet firmly attached and all my toes!

Each generation has difficulty dealing with the changes of the next. It's a sad part of life. Hopefully though this is something that is just a shock to your father's moral base and he'll come around with time. I hope that's the case with your relationship with your father as well.
