A few years ago, I saw an awesome band, INOUK. They had amazing stage presence, great songs, terrific energy, and were super sweet to boot. Tonight I was lured to go to see them again. I say say "lured" becasue the myspace event invite said there'd be free CDs (nope!). The songs were great, but everything else had changed, including half of the lineup and the band chemistry. They didn't seem to be having fun, and with the exception of the new drummer, they weren't very friendly either. Maybe it was a bad night. But it makes me feel very lucky to have such awesome, vibrant bandmates who I love to bits and bits. With Royal Pink, people can tell how much we love each other; with The Dashing Wildes, we're more sedate, but you can still see how deep we care for one another. Chemistry is everything!
Luckily, the second band, Parlor Mob, was great! Very Led Zepplinish and all delishiously cute lads. They danced and really worked off and with each other. The drummer was inked from here to eternity (oh so beautiful) and really drove the band. I was hanging with a neat couple (the lad of which got so cutely drunk!) who knew one of the guitarists. After the show, I chatted with the guitarist and the drummer. They were so insanely nice and very modest, and even said they'd try to come to Royal Pink's next show! Score!
In other, completely unrelated news, I hate my right foot. Shoes always fit my left foot very well, but my right foot goes nutso in about half the time it takes my other foot to do the same. Very irritating, especially since I'm into strappy heels right now. Although I love being a fashionista, I must say men get it easy and sometimes I envy them. Boxers instead of thongs, cowboy boots instead of heels, wife beaters intead of bras! But then again, y'all don't get to have thirty handbags and ninety pairs of shoes. And I can cry at the movies any ol' time I want! Besides, beauty is always a bit painful... it's ugly that's easy!
