Spring...Winter...Spring...Winter...
I wish mother nature would make up her mind!!! I got here and the weather was gorgeous. Spring. About a week later, it snows. Winter. Then it's summer warm. Then it snows again. The last coupla days were amazing. Now it supposed to snow again tonight.
I don't get it. I just wish it would be spring already.
Hmmm, no luck selling the jeep yet. Haven't actually tried yet though. Thank good ol' murphy for that one and some annonymous light blue vehicle that decided my bright, shiny red jeep needed some light blue paint scraped into the left rear fender while my mom was borrowing it. of course, no note. :angry:
Got the motorcycle running last week. It needed a new battery (dad accidentally left the key in the on position so the headlight was on all winter long) and it was running. Not running very well, but it could at least go. I figured the carbs are a bit dirty but the dealership wanted $350 just to look at them and up to $700 for parts. HA!!! He knows where he can stick prices like that.
So, my friend and I pulled off the carbs and cleaned them up. It runs much better, even tho they weren't very dirty. It's still got that really annoying mid-range lull/burp. It accelerates smoothly until between 5-8K it stutters then from 8-14k it goes great. Unfortunately, 5-8k is usually where I end up mid-corner when I need to have consistent power to exit the corner smoothly. There are still some adjustments to try but that'll have to wait a week for the snow to go away. This is why I am so lusting after a new bike...
Got to hang out with a bunch of ice folk on friday night. It was really cool and fun to see all of them again. Got to see Bruce, James travis, debbie townsend, brooke, joni z and chad (chad is rad and still a bit psycho) and big lemon and his girl Erin showed up at joni and chad's place at the end of the night. they were wasted on lots of different drugs. It was a crazy night and I haven't packed that many people into a car in ages. i've been going to lots of different bars lately, with different people and it's kinda cool. Lot's of tiny bars. They are kinda fun. Got to hang with the BOB as well this weekend. It's always good to see him and i am glad he's doing well. He's going through a divorce, which is kinda good and kinda bad. His job is going really well though and the fucker got to tear up a 550 Maranello at the track on Sunday. I'm so jealous, the bastard.
Things are pretty much back to normal on the home front with all the family gone. It would be pretty quiet if woody woodpecker hadn't come back this year but he did and this time he brought a friend along as well. Last year it took a coupla thousand dollars to fix the damage he did so I think it's time to sight in the BB gun.

I really do not think you are missing out on jack shit. It definitely is a low key year, to the point of almost being flat line. Not a bad thing, but I'm definitely feeling the itch to not be here right now. *shrug* So is everyone else I'm afraid.
