Finally....
I'm finally done with field med school!
It's about time too, I got there mid July.
I also reported in to my new command, 1st Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry.
I don't know quite what to think about all this since I've never really worked "green side" with the Marines, but I've got to give it a fair shot before I make any decisions. So far the guy who is going to be my chief seems pretty cool, and I already know several of the corpsmen that will be working with me. I don't know what my position will really mean but if it means what I think it does then I will be very busy. I've been told that I am going to be the assistant leading petty officer, that usually means that as the assistant lead I'll be running things while the actual leading petty officer does what he/she can to make themselves look good for making chief. Meanwhile the chief will be busy doing chiefly things (coffee, smokes and jokes) till its time to pass on bad news or take/give an ass chewing. (Something I expect to be getting a lot of for a little while)
Well till next time.....
