Last night I had a brawl with a rather large Christmas tree. The fucker would not stand up.

Eventually, I triumphed, quite by accident. I feel better because I don't like being outsmarted by things like trees.

Tonight it shall get lights. After I go to target and buy like 10 more sets of lights cause this fucker is going to take a lot. but...

I just had to turn the thermostat up to 80 degrees because my grandmother says she's freezing. Bull-fing-shit. There's just no way. The woman lives by the calendar. heat should be on late October through the end of March. She refuses a space heater because they are "nothing but fire hazards." What, 20 years ago?

So I'm feeling a bit frazzled today. I need to...

I live about a whole ten minutes from Maitland. Maybe my place could be a makeshift bunker for a few hours a week.
stimuli:
I live in my grandmothers garden shed !

Well, I added a few little touches, like electricity, paneling , flooring, bed, ya know necessities biggrin and my own cable drop !

My grandmother is pretty strict about the heating too.

Anyway, Hi, I'm new around here and I, erm, found you in the group No Friends, but, it appears you have some !

So yes. We had a storm.

Large oaks uprooted blocking the streets, basketball hoop with about 200 pounds of water in the base sent 10 feet across the driveway and knocked over (where my car would have been if it wasn't left in the street), power outage, a couple of small fires. The kind of chaos that brings a whole neighborhood out into the streets...

Ha ha . We had guina pigs when I was a kid and my moms poodle thought they were puppys and would constantly try to nurse them.
Till one bit her tit tongue
After that she didn't even want to be in the same room with them.

Hope things are going good

I've been going through periods where I'm up for 36 hours straight, but then I sleep for 18. Of course, I don't actually accomplish very much with all the time I'm awake. I just veg in front of the tv.

Wish we lived closer, then I could get up the energy to drop by and drag you out of the house for a few hours of fun. Of course, my definition of fun is rather weak - I consider dinner and a movie fun. Or just chating for hours over coffee.

And I'd even keep my flirting to a minimum. wink

Its been nice this week, with lows dipping into the 40's and 50's. The only problem is that my grandmother expects the heat to run all night if it gets below 60.

First of all, this house was built in 1961 and still has the original windows. They're quite leaky. Her bedroom is on the north side of the house, and the thermostat is on...

old people rule. they don't care what people may say about whatever is on their minds, they just seem to blurt it out. i had a place in indianapolis once that was built in the 30's. it was so old the morter was turning to dust. and cold? my electric bills in the winter were astronomical, heat got out between the bricks it seemed like.
nori:
nah, I am just cheap period hahahahha!! tell gramma to stick a sock in it or just put a ac / heat unit for her bedroom. problem solved!

I've spent most of the week in my pajamas. My sleep pattern is all screwed up. I don't fall asleep until 5 or 6am, even though I take pills that should make me sleep. Strange.

Still have a screw in my tire. Supposed to drive to Downtown Disney on Sunday, so I really need to get up tomorrow to take care of it.

I want...

I've spent a great deal of the past few days watching movies. Saw Click (it was good), American Psycho (freaked me the hell out) Exorcism of Emily Rose (not what I expected), and Alfie, because I love Jude Law. I watched Closer last week and I swear they always give that guy a raw deal at the end of a movie. I also rented The...

Why did you take the piercings out? Those were cool.

I hate growth in many ways. It is inevitable that it will happen, but I really think they should keep the ecology in mind a lot more when they do these things.

Like, for example, they built a rather large park by our library. Very nice park, and serves an excellent purpose and is well used. However, they displaced thousands of rats into OUR HOUSES! nice job on that one.... they didn't attempt to shift their nesting patterns or anything they just plowed right through all the land.

So people then had to pay 100s of dollars to get rid of the rats that if they had just done a controlled demolishing, they could have simply forced the rats to migrate nests slowly and NOT INTO OUR HOUSES!.

anyhow....

Why don't you like Kung Fu movies? I love em!
lyxzen:
american psycho, the book version, is WAY fucked up and creepy. you should read it for sure.

and fuck expansion. lets put birth control in the water!

You know, I love Alton Brown, and I love Good Eats, but that lobster episode grossed me out. I know they are closely related to cockroaches, but did he HAVE to keep referring to the lobsters as "bugs"? I could never order or cook a whole lobster, though. I don't like food that is staring at me.

I thought I had more to say...oh, FINALLY...

Watched The Grudge with the kid earlier because he wants to see part 2 on Friday. He said it wasn't scary but he wants to see part 2 anyway. Typical. Actually, it would be really awesome for the two of us to go to a movie sans his buddies for a change. I guess its the damn baby fever, but I'm feeling this real need...
