Polling day.
Have just got home from work, and my sister's in the lounge with MTV on, as always, so I ask her where my mum is and has she voted yet? She says they're waiting for me to get home, but that my Mum's at the hospital. My other sister was supposed to be doing a postal vote (like most Uni students) but her University LOST her card. Great ad for an Academic Institution. Apparently my Dad also did a postal vote, his reason being that he 'might be too busy to vote'. Erm, Dad, exactly what would you be busy with, playing your Steam train game (which involves driving a train from London to Brighton, and back again)? Bless him, I think he just wanted to experience the joy that is postal voting. So he could say he'd done it.
Anyway, then the doorbell rings, and it's my brother, come home after football, first thing he asks is 'have you voted yet?'. Soooo I tell him 'no, we're waiting for Mum to come home now' So the ovens on ready for Jen's dinner, and we're all waiting for the one who was waiting for us. Good job the stations are open til 10...........
