I so needed that trip up to Columbus. SOOOO needed it. I had a blast, and I think Tony had a damn good time too. Time away from all the stress....
Tony and I left Cincinnati for Columbus yesterday so that we could hang out with Ginner and Matt for Ginner's birthday. We were running late because at 5 PM, work called Tony, telling him that he had to come in. He took a vacation day, got it approved, and THEN they tell him 2 hours before the shift starts that he has to go to work?? BULLSHIT! I cried (cause I'm so fucking stressed/emotional these days) and told him that I would NOT have a good time up there without him. I think he ended up feeling waay bad, so he called work back and bitched, and Bruce decided to be nice and told him to go ahead and have the night off. Ginner cooked food, which looked damn good (spinach and cheese manicotti), but we were running so late that we opted to stop at McDonald's on the way up. We eat waaaay too much fast food these days.
We all piled in Matt's car and went to Oktoberfest, for some beer-drinkin' and dancin'. It was a tad expensive ($10 to park, $8 to get in, $8 for a 32 oz. beer or $4 for a 16 oz. beer) so I ended up spending quite a bit, cause I didn't let Tony take any money out of the ATM before we left. Ever heard of the Bank of Kentucky? Yeah, they're pretty much only popular in Kentucky. So he had no $$. Its ok though, cause I got plenty in the bank and no time to spend it, with what I've been working lately.
I had quite a good buzz going on, and I think Tony did too....so we decided to stay at Ginner's for the night. Good times, nice and quiet. The futon leaves a bit to be desired though.... hehe.
I'm so GLAD that everything worked out!! I had a blast!!!

By the way, I'm all about the Bank of Kentucky... if they had one in the Metro NY area, I'd be all over it. My first credit card was from Sout Dakota, and it's still the only one I use (it's the oddest looking credit card I've ever seen).
