Hey everyone! Just got back from a rock-and-fun-filled weekend in London and I am so tired. I was thinking about going to the pub this evening but I realy don't think I have the energy for it!
Give It a Name festival was very cool. I saw a hell of a lot of bands, somewhere in the region of about 30 bands in all. I won't list them all, just mention the best ones: Alexisonfire (the sound wasn't very good but their performance made me want to see them again), The Used, Juliette and the Licks, Kids in Glass Houses, Enter Shikari, Motion City Soundtrack, New Found Glory, All American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, Hit The Lights, Hellogoodbye, AFI and Jimmy Eat World. I took a few pictures but most of them didn't turn out very good. The bands are tiny little figures in the distance.
One band that wasn't so good that I have to mention is Brand New. I have been a fan of them for a while now and I was so disappointed with their performance. None of the band looked like they wanted to be there and the energy they produced was so flat. The music was amazing but it was let down by the attitude of the band themselves. Plus they didn't play my favourite song: 'Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows'. Ok, moaning over with!
I'm now going to hang around here until my dinner is ready! In the meantime, meet Willy the Woolly Mammoth and his mammoth cup of tea....
