Today was one of those days. You know...those days...that...end in Y!
I threw my back out today. You know you're either getting old or out of shape....or at the very least, a Jew when you throw your back out at the age of 27 twice in one month.
Anyway, I was supposed to go to Melrose, which has turned into that dreaded street I no longer want to visit because of the crowds and lack of good parking. I was supposed to go with my buddy Ryan because he was going to buy tickets to go see Wolfsheim (shoot me now) and I was supposed to try and sell all these clothes that I decided needed to leave my closet when I moved. Well...I went to Melrose without him. He told me he was sick so I had to brave the untrendy trendiness alone.
I first tried to go to Crossroads on Ventura to try and save me a trip over the hill. They didn't buy anything I had because it wasn't contemporary or spring clothes.
So I then drove in the traffic over to Melrose. I tried Wasteland and my time there was pretty much a waste. They were looking for more vintage type 70's clothing. The vintage shirts I had were more from the 50's.
I gave up there because it was getting late and I didn't want to deal with parking in Hollywood. I guess I'll try Buffalo Exchange tomorrow.
When I went to get gas, I saw Cousin Sal from Jimmy Kimmel Live dressed as a gas station attendant. I don't know what he was up to but I did see a van with tinted windows nearby that would have been a perfect place to put a camera crew.
I then headed back into the valley, got some mexican food at this place called Mexicali that was way too unmexican. I want a mexican restaurant where the people there actually speak the language dammit! The food was good though, and I was contemplating having a margerita. I didn't. I feel weird about drinking alone sometimes, especially when it is drinking a frufru girly drink.
I checked out some poster stores and saw this cool one that had some really awesome Sinatra prints. I think I'll go back there when I can afford it.
My last stop was Target. I went in looking for stringed lights. Not so much christmas lights, I wanted blacklights or maybe a dark blue. Target didn't have lights like that. When does Target not sell lights like that???
So instead of lights, I bought The Big Lebowski and Young Guns on DVD. Each were selling for less than 10 dollars. Hot damn! I need to stop spending money.
I wanna go out tonight.
