i need to stop going out and drinking so much. or maybe just going out. perhaps it would be less embarassing (and certainly more inexpensive) to stay at home and drink there.
what a depressing thought.
this weekend, i went to guelph to work. it did not suck as badly as ussual, and it was pleasant to see my friends. the newest love of my life (the magnificently eloquent jacob) and i organized a little surprise outing for our friend andrea, the workaholic. it was lovely. what was even more lovely, is andrea's revelation that jacob is crushing on me. aw. so sweet. by this time, of course, i was quite enamored of him, mostly due to a series of e-mails we exchanged in which he proved to be witty, nerdy, and a highly expressive and superior correspondant. in english, as well as in french.
so we chatted and i was crude, making sacriligious comments about the immaculate conception. if i wrote it verbatum, it would no longer be effective, so forget it.
but then, jacob suddenly excused himself and left us to spend time with his brother. a soberer me would have accepted that. the slighly tipsy me was slightly indignant.
despite my initial disappointment, the night was a success. observe.
wearing stirpper(ish) value village shoes may seem like a good idea (for aesthetic reasons, obviously) but is not the most practical dancing attire. helas, never again.
there they are, the culprits, the glass-healed miracle buys. the deformers of my feet. i photographed my red, swollen, blistered feet, but the image is too disgusting to post. suffice to say, i will delete that photo post-haste.
in other news (briefly), i am convocating on tuesday at 10:30 am. all i can think about that is, "so, what's next?" at least one more degree? yeah, i think so.
