i need a new profile picture. i'm so sick of looking at this one every time i sign in. this one will have to do until i find something i'm more into.
today, shortly after viewing Malloreigh's hot new set, i saw sin city with rick. we had plans to go, but what a coincidence that this set should arrive today! i loved it. both the set and the film. does anyone know which part terentino directed? i have a feeling it's the miho bit, which also happened to be my favourite part. actually that old town sequence was the best one, for me, anyways. i guess the only criticism i could offer (though i'm sure i'm in no position to criticize, having never looked at frank miller's graphic novels) is that the sequences don't all tie together completely. they do, in small ways, but the film as a whole lacks a certain concrete cohesion, in my opinion. or prehaps i just missed it when my contact fell off my retina and i had to run to the bathroom, squinting (true story). it is still lovely, the film is. i adored the retro, bukowski-esque feel and dialogue, and a good 50s-style detective story always knocks my socks off. throw in some hot killer prostitutes who refuse to play victim and the game is on. micky rourke was impressive, to say the least. evidently i can't be bothered to check if i actually spelled his name correctly or not. meh.
in other news, it is almost my birthday. in fact, friday it will be my birthday. we'll be going to the dance cave for some cute young tail. no, not really. i'll just shake my own. come out if you're in toronto. message for details, if you dare/care/something in between.
my grad pictures have arrived. what am i to do with so many?! i'm sure my parents will have some ideas. they paid for them, after all. they're 'all right'.
and now, for no reason whatsoever, a picture of two old ladies with large bottoms belly-dancing. i have muchos respectos for these broads; that takes guts, man.
you know what i despise? substitute teachers. more specifically, when they decide to take over and scream at my class for no good reason. yeah. the kids hate those wierdos for a reason. some of them deserve to be made to cry. long story. perhaps next time. same bat-time, same bat-channel. or something to that effect (of nerditude).
