i have been a selfish bitch the last few days and i'd be lying if i said i haven't been living it up and loving every bastardly moment.
thursday night, i went to see stars (and the organ [exclaim tour]) with Chanel and her marvelous friend, ted. it was lovely. third time i've seen stars now. i'm becoming something of an, uhmmm, starlet, let's say. i simply must see chanel and ted again.
here's a few pictures from my newly organized folder system:
the outfit. it caused me to nearly have a panic attack on the subway. NEVER again will i wear something revealing by myself on public transportation. it caused too much unwanted attention, mostly from gross boys who whistled and one drunk guy who staggered around me for a while before asking me 'where the disco at'. to this i replied 'union station' and promptly walked away to sit next to a stranger who saved me.
i mean, i know fishnets are hot, but i wore a long coat and so all subway drunkard could see was like a foot of fishnet. whatever. once we got to the show, the attention stopped and i felt at ease. it was all for amy millan anyway. oh and chanel, too.
chanel. you are gorgeous.
i love this photo muchos.
last night i went to the dance cave, it was great to dance all crazy and uninhibited. i wore the polar opposite of the skirt outfit (erm, chucks and jeans, little make-up) and yet, i seemed to have attracted the good hair boys. i messed up their hair. they encouraged it. my theory is, i looked approachable.
the short of it is, these last two days i met interesting people with whom i had things in common. aside from a bitchy girl who accused me of touching her friend's coat when i put my jacket on a bench yesterday, it was swell. oh oh oh. and TomT recognized me from here and came up to say 'hi'. he seems very nice. if you're reading this, it was lovely to meet you, tom.
today i'm off to guelph to watch angela belly dance. she is preforming with her (and other) troop(s).
as exhausting as it's all been, selfish feels great.
