i've been working this weekend. it's nice to be making money for a short while. i cannot wait to be done my teaching block so i can look for a job and prep for next year. living dowtown(ish) will cost a pretty penny but i'm sure it will be worth it.
i went to a leafs/hot tub (haha) party on thursday. after spending 5 hours in the tub, nursing 5 tequila coolers, i stepped in a thorn on my way out of the tub. i was already feeling iffy but the sight of blood threw me off even more and i fainted. twice. it was an odd and slightly embarassing occurance. i felt ashamed? not really sure why as i truly had no real reason.
1. i was completely dehydrated from (very unwisely) remaining in the hot tub for 5 hours
2. i was slightly drunk; the effect of which was intenified by lack of hydration due to hot tub
3. although blood does not faze me usually, for some reason it freaked me out then. perhaps the unexpectedness of it could be partially responsible
in any case, it was a great night despite my double faintage.
and now for no appearant reason whatsoever, a picture of me last year:
