Aha! Suddenly it all makes sense. I think Montreal is similar regarding female toplessness, though I've heard that the cops will arrest you for topless sunbathing on Mt. Royal, so I'm not sure if it's on the books or just commonly accepted.
It is pretty weird that they're telling her she's not thin enough OR fat enough to play a part. 125 for a 5'2" girl is a bit more towards the heavy side, I suppose (being 5'2" myself), but it's certainly not overweight. It's never made sense to me that society endorses skeletal thinness, and then wonders why women are anorexic or bulimic, or that actresses who are at a normal weight get labelled "fat." Bleh. This is why I don't look at beauty magazines, except to mock them and draw swastikas on the models' foreheads.
