God 28 Weeks Later was such a damn let down, it wasn't even worth leaving work early to see the free screening !!!!! 
I was soooo worried when I heard they were making a sequel and that it was the Americans "saving" the day.... This movie was super Americanized and it seemed to have some deep parallels with the US being in the middle east. I love bad movies but this was just horrible, it had some moments of course but the story was too fractured and predictable, it was the opposite of most of the things that made 28 Days Later so incredible. Also they totally left it open for a third movie in the classic American tradition..... I mean ok ya 28 Days Later was left a little unfinished but it fit the story and it fits the typical horror genre, its not that often that at the end of a horror movie it automatically leaves it open to a sequel (unless it is a horror movie involving some kind of animal) but this one was sooooo blatantly saying ya get ready for 28 Months Later bitch....
If you haven't seen the first movie then ya ok you will probably like it, if you like bad horror movies you might like it, but its probably not worth the price of a movie ticket, for once I won't be buying the DVD lol
The chick sitting next to me was totally freaking the whole damn time!!!! she should not have been in a horror movie even one as tame as 28 Weeks Later. Anytime anything scary was about to come on she would fold up into a sitting fetal position and rock back and forth whispering oh god oh god, can we say creeeepy yes we can kids
she even came close to throwing up just for the preview of Hostel part 2, the preview!!!!! weak sauce woman.....
