Goodbye to a long weekend.

My work hours were borederline insane, considering the job. There is an appaling amount of physical labor involved in being a server where I work. Doing it for three days straight, 8+ hours each day, is pretty taxing to a body that's used to sitting around in the glow of neon bar signs and electronic entertainment while double fisting whiskey...

He returns.

Well, here's the deal. The back is in full working condition again...more or less. I'm still having difficulty turning my head to the left while driving, but I supposed that's what the mirrors are for. No, I don't really believe that.

My beloved PC, aptly named Machine, is currently unable to connect to the internet due to my incessant tinkering with the wireless...

I wondering where you had gone...

I swear I'll make you cookies.

I think that's the best idea ever.

Woo! I threw my back out! Again!

The pain sucks, but I get two days off work, which basically means I've now got the time to catch up on reading the plethora of books I have been poking at here and there. That and I can watch all the episodes of House and Flight of the Concords that I've missed in the last few weeks....

I began watching Naqoyqatsi for the first time last night and noticed that I have been listening to the soundtrack on and off for over a year without even knowing it. I had downloaded a random collection of Phillip Glass stuff, and upon actually putting it on disc, gotten lazy with my labeling. I will say this film was not meant to be watched on...

Well, I did put air horns in my truck. True, they were the $60 special at Murray's that came with a compressor, but I still did it. That's an option.

However, I think you'd have an easier time installing horns from a fullsize car. None of those namby-pamby horns they have in cars now; no, you need horns from a boat or land yacht or yore. Those were big, brassy horns for big cars. MOVE NOW OR YOU WILL BE CRUSHED
hawksley:
hrm, you live in Macomb... even though I've lived here for 3 years - I'm still not sure what that covers...

Leo's in Royal Oak is always good.

Well, Ann Arbor was a bust due to inclement driving weather.

However, much to my surprise, I had the house to myself all weekend. My xbox was returned (mind you, it's mod'd, so we're talking over 1,000 old school type games from Nintendo, Genesis, and yes, even all the way back to Intelevision) and I ended up spending many an hour reliving my childhood. Lets...

There's a pretty good chance I'll be in Ann Arbor for the afternoon on Saturday, but it all depends on how soon I can sneak out of work. Should this happen, it will be day three of the on-going series "comic burger," and event in which two nerd pals and myself attempt to find Michigan's best burger and colorful reading material. Granted we're only two...

Shazbot! Who ends a nice chill-mode night with a mild rear end collision followed by a drive off? This guy.

No, no. I was the one who got hit.

Anyway, a new bar opened within my drinking vicinity, so I thought I'd check it out tonight. My usual haunt was a terrible bust due to Big Boy and channel 95.5 entourage, so we ditched to...

Oy, someone hit the button labeled "exact opposite of yesterday" this morning. Grey skies and much wetness await my drive to work this evening. Fair enough. All the more reason for people to come and eat at my place, right? C'mon, folks, I got bills to pay! Hah!

I've been poking around in the groups on here, found a few that might be interesting, but...

Amazing. I feel as though my computer once again has a purpose now that I'm back. I just hit the "2 hours online" mark, which is more time than I've collectively spent on this machine in the last week. And what lovely timing! I have the entire day off from just about everything in my life, unless I change my mind about taking part in...

Thanks to whoever/whatever is responsible for my return to the site! Sad that I couldn't get my old screenname back, but I'll see what I can do. Here's the strange thing: I was just considering coming back here the other day, see whats new and how things have changed, hah.

I'll finish out the profile later. Right now I have to go feed people more...
