A question of priorities...
So, to make a long story short, my Aunt and Uncle are about to get a divorce. I believe that the biggest reason for this is that they haven't had their priorities straight for about ten years.
In my head, priorities follow as such:
1. Faith (whatever- or lack thereof- yours tends to be)
2. Yourself
3. Your spouse
4. Your job (ONLY because it lets you take care of...)
5. Your children.
I think that too many marriages are broken up because of people putting their children above anything else; while a great theory, it gives them the wrong message.
Anyway, fellow members, what are your thoughts on this? Agree, disagree, I would love to have some feedback on this!

** Also, the job being above your children is only on certain grounds. A missed play, or band recital is one thing (though horrible in itself); a missed parent teacher meeting is something entirely different. Gotta keep things in perspective.

I can agree to disagree? I put my spouse before me, only bc he does the same.. and we do not want children.. though we have pets

I think the children should always be put above anything else. Now, I don't agree with the couples that say "We're staying together for the kids..." because growing up in a household where your parents don't love each other is most definitely NOT better for the kids. Do you have kids? It sounds like you probably don't judged on your answers.
