I'm so sad over the news of Chester Bennington's suicide. Linkin Park were a HUGE part of my life growing up and saw me through some very difficult times in my life. I will never forget the first time I heard IN THE END and literally lost my shit at how great it was- i think i instantly listened to it 100 times on repeat. HYBRID THEORY and METEORA were un-parrelled classics, and even when the band changed their sound it still felt natural and inspiring A THOUSAND SUNS is another album that has so many great and emotive songs on it.
I only ever managed to see the band live twice, but both times I was blown away by how good they were, and Chesters voice and stage presence were phenomenal.
It's so sad to hear when somebody has committed suicide, and even worse when people call them selfish for doing it. You never know how people feel and how life can get you down until you just think theres no escape, and nobody has the right to judge on how people deal with their demons.
R.I.P Chester, you were a true inspiration. These wounds, they will not heal.
