I got sick overnight.
I'm crashing at my friends' place and I thought it would be okay to sleep with the window open. It must have rained in the middle of the night because I woke up to a really sore throat and back at 5am. Alan actually got up and got me some losenges and tyenol from the sev. Best boyfriend ever.
So that move that was going so smoothly and was bound to fuck up has manifested it's destiny. The movers decided that quotes are irrelevant in this day and age of cutthroat consumer exploitation and our $1000 move turned into $3200. I did the math and according to the price per pound my one bedroom apartment had 6 imperial tonnes of shit in it. Sure. If they like my stuff so much that they think it's worth $3200 to move then maybe they'll just get to keep it. Anyone else been through this? I'm pretty sure there's a law stating that the cost for goods and services can't exceed 112% of the inital quote. Time to hit the government of Canada website.
I hope, for their sake that I don't have to bring my mom into this. I'd hate to inconvience her but she really knows how to reverse the proccess of getting fucked over. Telus overcharged her last year and she managed to get free internet for almost three years out of it.
Otherwise everything else is going fine. Getting my keys at 2:30 today.
Time for some food network.
